PROGRAM:
Bach: Prelude from Suite in D Minor
Mozart: Divertimento in D
Leclair: Duo Sonata in C
Michael Haydn: Quintet in C
Join us for an entertaining and moving concert of 18th-century chamber music. This period of time was a pivotal moment in history, as music moved from the church to the salon and the concert hall. Thousands of pieces were written for small ensembles, to be played in homes and intimate "chambers". We'll play music of Leclair, Bach and one of the most enjoyable quintets by Michael Haydn.
